Step into a whimsical wonderland and craft and paint your very own wooden elf secret door, sculpt an adorable clay gingerbread home, and paint a wooden Santas workshop in 3-D!
Let the festive spirit fill you with joy as you indulge in a day of painting, crafting, and Christmas cheer!

On the day;
- Paint and decorate your own Santas workshop! Students are provided with a 30cm tall by 3 cm deep, wooden blank 'decor house' we will paint and decorate it in the theme of Santa's toy factory. (We had so much fun making our example, it brought back the doll house vibes from our childhood) Each Toy factory will be unique to the Childs imagination.
- Hand build a cute gingerbread home in oven bake clay, the students can create their little houses to be a storage container for a functional and fun piece of art.
- Create a magical elf door. ( Feel free to make it for the garden or your home) Save the paddle pop sticks for another day, we have found the cutest wooden craft door blank. Students will choose paints and clays to decorate their own unique door..
We are fully air-conditioned for comfort and have toilets and wash up areas within our large classroom spaces.

Welcome Whale watchers!
Get ready for a creative extravaganza with not one, but three colossal art projects! Dive into the magical realm of whales and learn to paint, make and draw a variety of whales using watercolours, acrylics and clays.
- Learn how to sketch a whimsical scene including a large humpback and moon.
- Use watercolours, water-soluble pencils and shimmery watercolour effect to finalise your artwork.
- Create an acrylic painting of a cute beluga whale! Students will be lead through the steps to produce a fine acrylic painting.
- Hand build and sculpt a clay whale sculpture, all sculptures will then be hand painted to take home.

Tropical Fish-Watercolours

Get your tropics on with this fantastic fish painting workshop.
Students will enjoy 2 hours of watercolour illustration techniques, guided explanations are given to assist children in building their shapes into great drawings. Watercolour is a diverse medium and we will be showing students how to create effects and how to use the paints with control.
- Create a variety of tropical fish designs.
- Use different watercolour media
- Add pearly pigments and create emphasis.

Junior artists ages 6 up will love getting their hands on our clays.
With two Styles of clay we will create some great Christmas ornaments.
- Hand build whimsical characters and build a magical elf door that will last years to come!
- Learn to mould shape and blend coloured clays.
- Use your imagination to create unique sculptures.
- While the clay bakes, we will work with our favourite super soft air dry clay!
All supplies are provided, clay will be baked and ready to take home on the day.

All Day Arts workshop. Ages 8 up
Summer break is here, come and celebrate the holidays and create some very arty and fashionable wearable art pieces for your vacay time.
Join our art workshop and whip up some wickedly cool tie-dye, decorate your own sports cap, paint canvas art
and make funky fruit sculptures that are as refreshing as a splash of lemonade on a hot day.
All materials are supplied on the day including clay's, stretched artist canvas, sports hat, tie dye pieces, pillow cases or t-shirts.
- Children will be lead through the steps to create some fashionably fun wearable art, designing a sports cap to wear home will be our first project.
- Learn to sketch, design and use colour for impact.
- Create with tie dye, watch as you are shown a variety of cool tie dye techniques, with a huge availability of colours you can create to your hearts content.

Join our sculpting extravaganza!
Students can enjoy a full day of sculpting in clay with us,
- Learn the secrets of forming an armature and crafting your very own unique character.
- You'll also learn how to stamp, cut, and hand-form pieces of jewellery and magnets with this oven bake clay.
Age guide; Designed for artists ages 9 and over
On the day;
All materials are provided including oven bake polymer clays, clay tools, findings and amateur supplies.
- Students will create with 3 main sculpting projects, this is a great day as there will also be some drawing and painting within the tasks.
- Learn how to work with polymer clay. Learn the basics needed for both beginners and intermediate clay artists
- Start your clay journey while learning to make small objects with precision. Learn how to cut, form and stamp clay to create magnets, charms and jewellery pieces perfect for gifting.
- Learn how to sketch and design to prepare for building your sculpture.
- Learn how to produce an armature base.
- Learn how to mould and form clay over an armature for strength and durability.
- Learn finishing touches and use pastels and paints to finalise the design and customise your character.
- While the sculptures are being baked, students will create an air dry clay models and ornaments of their choosing to be painted with shimmery colours, we will be adding some festive touches of course!

Christmas Dragons are on their way!
Get into the holiday spirit with us and unleash your creativity by drawing your very own Christmas Dragon, will your Dragon sleep in a pile of gifts this Christmas?
Students will learn how to sketch and draw a dragon following some style examples in the lesson, techniques are taught so students can boost their skills. Colour and flair will be added while students learn to brush up on the use of artist brush markers.
Drawing Lab fans know the workshops are always a high quality experience, with amazing results from the students all while they relax and enjoy their time drawing.

Hand Crafted Christmas

We are so excited about Christmas! Come and join us for Christmas Crafts, our last workshop for the year it will be jam packed full of fun and creativity!
Design and paint an adorable baby reindeer in acrylic paints and use prisma colour pencils for detail.
Build clay tree ornaments....
And then...While whistling to Christmas tunes, we will whip up amazing hand crafted gifts in a variety of materials with a literal crafty smorgasbord including fabrics, foams, pompoms, beads, papers, watercolour and mixed media supplies.

Surf through the steps to create your own illustrated masterpiece.
This Christmas Gnome has been surfing the coast and just take a look at his new friend.
Ages 10 up will enjoy learning new drawing skills while creating their own great illustrated story.
- All supplies and guided instructions are pre prepared for the day.
- Students will learn valuable skills in drawing beyond simple sketching.

Refunds can be requested in the event of illness and inability to attend future workshops, please email us prior to the start of the workshop we would require 2 days notice for a refund request for the Christmas holiday bookings..

Information for Parents
Please check that you have booked the correct art session.
For all Holiday art workshop purchases your booking will be recorded automatically, once you leave the cart and the payment is processed the booking is secure, no tickets needed. Easy booking with nothing more to do except arrive, so save the date and read on!
Attending workshops on site:
Please book a ticket for each attending child, carers or parents wishing to attend will also need to purchase a ticket/subject to need.
All children who need support or extra assistance will need to attend with a parent or carer as we run with one instructor per class. We do have classes for quite art days and we have classes for noisier groups, please check with us before booking as all classes will have different requirements.
Important: Please be upfront with information regarding behaviour and learning support needs. If a carer is generally needed please let us know in advance as the class may not be designed for interruptions. We do have classes to suit diverse learners simply ask us.
Food for thought; Where the day is longer and kids need to bring packed lunch please note..We are nut free
There are toilet and wash up facilities within the art space.
All holiday art classes are run in the art school space. Classes are drop and go. Parents can sign in and leave.*unless their child will need some extra support.
All art supplies are provided. Wear older 'arty' clothes please.
Pack allergy safe snacks, a water bottle and lunch if staying for long workshops or full day art camp bookings. No nuts.
Check-in: QLD Check -in App is available. We will sign in all students and will collect their name from your booking online, ensure to add the customer name as the child attending.
A current COVID SAFE plan is in place. We welcome masks. Please don't bring along any unwell children. If a child is unwell or showing any symptoms, they won't be able to attend the session. We must contact parents to collect their children in the event symptoms present. Please include the address and correct mobile contact number when booking.
We will take an attendance roll at the beginning of the class and supervise and mark off students as they are collected by you.
Collecting and delivery to class:
Attending students will be given a wrist band, Tag or ID badge where needed, please make note of allergy information and a parent contact number when booking.
Children should be brought into the studio and collected at the end of the workshop from the studio space promptly at the time allocated..Children don't leave the Art school without a parent or guardian.
Cancellations/refunds:
Book with care, if you cancel a class or forget to attend you will not be refunded or credited. Due to the nature of our workshops- materials, planning and preparation are well underway weeks prior.
For early cancelations and credit requests a fairness policy applies, if we can fill the class we are happy to offer a credit to use at the following school break, please email us at least 7 days prior to starting your classes if you require a credit.
Illness cancellations will be credited and should be notified prior to class commencing so we can avoid supply waste.
*Students attending should follow the behaviour policies including our health and safety guidelines. Students should have an interest in art, allowing focus for the activities and time taken to undertake the activities.
Repeatedly disruptive children may not be allowed to participate.
