Covid-19 and the Art Studio
Let's learn and be creative in a safe environment. We are serious about protecting the wellbeing of every student. Our families have come to know us for reliably providing great arts programming. To ensure we can remain open, keeping all students and families well please be sure to help us by following the guidelines we have in place.
Please read the following steps we will be following.
Please read the following steps we will be following.
Arrival & Departure
Term 1 face to face lessons will resume in week 2 on 8th of February, a video lesson will be provided for all our students for the scheduled week 1 program starting January 29th.
We have established updated arrival and departure procedures to minimise the close contact with others.
Parents are asked to deliver students to the door but please remain outside at all times.
Older students who have the QLD Govt' check in app may check in via the QR code at the door. We have class registers to monitor student attendance.
All age groups to please wear masks at all times where possible.
As best as we can we are navigating through this pandemic and appreciate the support of all our families. I wanted to remind parents that we would love to see the students wearing masks to help ensure we can reduce risk as a group.
Students should use hand sanitiser or wash hands on arrival.
Most Importantly, Unwell students will need to refrain from attending. We understand that our students love attending and hate missing lessons. Please check that students don't have any symptoms, even mild before attending. We will be marking a roll each lesson and will arrange a suitable make up. Should there be no availability for a make up or a video lesson is unavailable, we will issue a lesson credit for the following term.
Extra Cleaning
We will clean tables, chairs and frequent touched surfaces before every class including the material that is shared like pencils and brushes. Please attend at the scheduled time to ensure we have the ability to wipe surfaces between classes. Between classes the studio will be closed to ensure we can clean effectively, parents should remain with students outside if arriving early.
Designated seating
Our studios are big enough to have each student in their own area staying safely apart of each other. Class sizes will be minimised to ensure no crowding occurs. If you have not yet booked your favourite class please email us now to check availability as class sizes will be capped.
Check for Updates
The Art School will be following very strict hand hygiene and mask wearing procedures. There will be regular cleaning before and between classes. We aim to protect the health of families, students and teachers. Should circumstances change we will send an email out to all students via the contact details they have provided at the time of booking. We advise all parents to check for a notice prior to attending class when case numbers are higher. Should we be unable to teach the lessons due to sickness we will offer first a video lesson suitable for students to continue on their projects. In the event this is unavailable we will issue a lesson credit. In the event of closures or lock downs we will be responsive with home learning to keep the students on track. We will absolutely appreciate your support and patience if this occurs.
